Who We Are
The Single Parent Resource Centre is a registered non-profit society that has been committed to serving the varied and changing needs of single parent families in the Greater Victoria area since 1978. In a relaxed and supportive house-like setting, the Centre offers a wide selection of programs and free services that assist custodial and non-custodial parents in meeting the needs of their families.

Our Beliefs
The Single Parent Resource Centre believes in offering effective services that accommodate individual differences & respond to changing needs. We believe in the strength and integrity of single parents and their families. We offer a welcoming place where all single parents can gather.

What We Offer
The Centre provides up to ten free counselling sessions on a one-to-one basis for single parents. The Centre also offers a comprehensive selection of life skills programs and workshops, parenting skill development courses and parenting support groups that are scheduled from September to June. In addition, an eight-week volunteer training program readies volunteers to provide reception, individual support, and resource and referral information for the Centre and its clients. Some of our free services include a clothing room for men, women and children, bread pantry, a furniture and household goods exchange.
